Grace means Transformed

For the grace of God has appeared, with salvation for all people, instructing us to deny godlessness and worldly lusts and to live in a sensible, righteous, and godly way in the present age. (Titus 2:11-12).
  • Deny godlessness.
  • Deny Wordly lusts.

  • Live in a sensible, righteous, and godly way.

God saved us by grace, He also transformed us by grace. We are not to continue living in sin according to the flesh.

Titus 2:11 reminds us that grace brings eternal salvation.

  • Along with eternal salvation comes transformation, causing us to say "no" to sin and "yes" to righteousness.

  • He died not just to save us for eternity, but also to transform us in the here and now.

Faith without works is dead.

  • Grace saves us and changes us.

  • Gods loves us too much to let us stay the same.

This reminds me of my favorite quote by George Whitfield-

"An unaaplied Christ is no Christ at all."

I love this quote because it challenges me and holds me accountable. If I say that I have been transformed then there should be transformation, not just at the moment of receiving Christ, but a daily transformation as if everyday I was receiving Christ for the first time again and again.

"If anyone would come after me he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me." Luke 9:23
